In reality, this is very dependent on your target country.
As a handy reminder, handsets can only reply to messages sent from a number. Recipients simply can’t reply if the message is sent from a brand.
The majority of networks with heavy filtering prefer messages to be sent from a brand only. In this scenario, your messages will be one-way only.
Conversely, a handful of countries, such as the United States, Canada & New Zealand require you to send from an approved number. In these cases, your messages will be sent from a localised replyable number and any responses to your messages will be displayed in your FireText account.
TOP TIPS:
-
If sending to many countries, do not plan entirely for responses to your campaign.
-
Choose a suitable call-to-action by providing a link or number in your message content.
-
Make it clear in the message content who it’s from. It’s known for some networks to change your brand to something very generic.
